Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Summary:
C&S Air Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems (residential experience a plus). This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, including inspecting, cleaning, and replacing HVAC system components. Diagnose and repair issues in commercial HVAC systems, addressing electrical, mechanical, and control system malfunctions.
  • Diagnostic Services: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify system malfunctions. Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to develop efficient solutions.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with commercial clients to assess their HVAC needs, provide accurate service estimates, explain repair options, and deliver a professional customer experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of services performed, including diagnostic findings, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job. Use service software to log work orders, upload pictures, create quotes, and generate invoices.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and HVAC industry standards.
  • Emergency Services: Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and on-call situations, to resolve urgent HVAC system issues.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and parts used in the field. Order and restock supplies to maintain efficient operations.
  • Training and Development: Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Commercial HVAC experience is required (residential experience a plus). This role includes participation in an on-call rotation, servicing both commercial and residential units as needed.
  • Certification: Valid HVAC Technician license or certification as required by state and local regulations. EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification is required; NATE Certification is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with commercial HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle the physical demands of the job. Must be able to climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and work at various heights.
  • Driving License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Advanced experience with commercial HVAC systems (installation, maintenance, and repair).
  • Certifications: EPA, TDLR, or other relevant certifications.

Experience:

  • HVAC Commercial: 2 years (Required).
  • HVAC Residential: 1 year (Preferred).

License/Certification:

Ability to Relocate:

  • Mansfield, TX 76063: Relocation before starting work (Required).
